Thanks for the post. I agree with you on the safety factor, physics and all. Drafting can be done at any distance really; the effectiveness of it just drops off as you increase separation. For example, following someone at 200 feet is still significantly better than following no one at all because there is still some residual momentum in the air behind said vehicle. You can hear this in the wind noise from your vehicle cabin; it is often quieter when traveling behind someone, even from a distance, than when traveling alone.
As for the spelling, I’ll take that into consideration (I’ll work on it too, that’s why I’m continuing my education). lol

In your response to "Topic: Hyghpermiling, anyone?," you mentioned that you drafted other vehicles "safely." If you are close enough to draft other vehicles, it is DANGEROUS! Minimum safe following distance at 60 mph is 176' - far too distant to benefit from "drafting."

Additionally, I noticed 10 misspellings in your reply. I suggest that you "Check Spelling" before you post your next reply.
