Please note that the GM inventory of trucks is purposeful, as there will be 24 weeks of down time at the plants for the major retooling for the brand new Silverado's and Sierra's. GM is actually managing their inventory very well, adjusting production on almost a weekly basis. In prior years, with bad union contrats, they have had to just keep building them and sell at dicount. GM's ATP is over $4,000 per car more than just a few years ago, and that is part of the reason they are so profitable now.
